previously available on the tracker "who" listing).
We'll return it to 15-day GFSG review until we can hear

I made two very small changes to GridRPC_July21.doc:
added a title
("A GridRPC Model and API for End-User Applications") and
joined the Intellectual Property header to its following
paragraph -- also regenerated the Table of Contents.
This document is now in final 15-day GFSG review.

This draft has completed the necessary steps prior to
being made available for public comment. Authors,
working group / research group chairs, and Area
Directors should encourage individuals to participate
in the public comment process and should announce
the public comment availability to appropriate
communities and groups.
Public comments can be viewed and submitted via
the GridForge Editor pages (see Forums) or:

GGF document series.
An active public comment period strengthens the case
that the document is a useful and desired work product
for some community of consumers.

Thanks for this submission. As of the February 15 GFSG conference call, this document has been voted on and approved for moving forward. Once the
authors respond to the items below (or decide to put them off until after the public comment period), we will put this into 60-day public comment.
These are some relatively minor formatting issues. They could be addressed before or after the public comment period, but to address them before will
be one fewer simple item for people to comment on.
1. The copyright date should be 2005 at the top & bottom copyright sections
2. The Table of Contents should be at the top
3. The running header needs to have a 1" margin. Now, it's far less
4. You need to submit a .doc or other editable version to the document pipeline
5. See my advice for Security Considerations in the Editor project page. Yours is not sufficient: you should address or point to security
considerations for GridRPC.
6. Your references #15 and #20 are not to documents, so should not be in the references section. These should be cited in-line.
Overall, the level of detail in the technical content seems to be appropriate for a draft recommendation. I would not mind seeing an example (in
addition to Figure 1) that shows what an RPC communication instance might look like, but I understand that the desire might be to just focus on the
recommendation detail.

We should move it forward as historically partly with my mistake this has been in Limbo. There are concrete implementations and users on this API with
real Grid apps, and is an evolution of almost 10 years of R&D on this subject by all parties involved.
