• Propose requirement with title  'Application management should use the Application Repository specified in the deliverable DSA1.1 of the EDGeS project'

Etienne Urbah's position on 2010-04-08

• This Application Repository is now in full production inside the EDGeS bridge between EGEE and Desktop Grids
• It permits that activities (jobs) of a Service Grid (such as EGEE) referencing Applications stored inside the Repository are eligible for execution on Desktop Grids, which absolutely require that Applications are validated
• It is NOT restricted to a particular grid technology, but is designed to provide services to any grid middleware
• Attached file 'EDGESDSA11v15.pdf' contains the deliverable DSA1.1 specifying the Application Repository
• I will check if this Application Repository complies to GLUE 2.0, in particular if it is able to publish information inside the 'ApplicationEnvironment' entity
• This requirement is probably within scope for PGI, but clearly out of scope for the Execution Service
