New additional GIN Co-Chair - GIN-CG Dear GIN team, It's my pleasure to announce that... Laurence Field ... has been approved as the new additional GIN co-chair. I just got the confirmation for that. Let's wish him all possible success (and time) for this position. Actually, GIN has now many tracks to follow-up and thus the new co-chair support is certainly very valuable to our group. Your co-chair, Morris Morris Riedel - 10/29/2008 9:53 AM EDT |
GIN Demonstrations at Supercomputing 2008 - GIN-CG I talked to many GIN members that are already preparing several demonstrations of interoperability use cases for the Supercomputing 2008 Conference in Austin, Texas, USA. In order to organize and prepare OGF announcement flyers and to get an overview where demonstrations can be seen, I created a wiki page like last year: http://forge.gridforum.org/sf/wiki/do/viewPage/projects.gin/wiki/GINSuperComputing2008 I would like to ask any GIN members that would like to demonstrate something int the context of interop* to edit this wiki page and put in your information. Please keep the structure as is in order to retain the overview. Thank you very much! Your co-chair, Morris Morris Riedel - 10/29/2008 9:43 AM EDT |
GIN in Theory and Practice - GIN-CG Some claim our efforts are not academic enough because too much practical work! Others claim our efforts are too practical without any thoughts on theoretical backgrounds, models, concepts, or paradigms. Also, many think there is a lack of applications using interoperability or interoperation for e-science. So one of the ideas in this context is to establish a publication list on the GIN wiki: „Interoperability/Interoperation in Theory and Practice“ http://forge.gridforum.org/sf/wiki/do/viewPage/projects.gin/wiki/Pubinterop So if you know publications in the field of interoperability or interoperation please add them to this list! Thank you very much for your help in enhancing this publication list and thus providing references to our work in the greater GIN context! Morris Riedel - 09/29/2008 2:31 AM EDT |
