Artifact artf3314 : (238) Gaps in introductory chapters
Tracker: OGSI Primer
Title: (238) Gaps in introductory chapters
Description:
These notes are summarised from comments by John Carter at IBM, Hursley.

The principles and faciliites and General structure of the Grid are not described completely.

I liked chapter 1 (p 7 and 8). I liked p 9 of chaper 2, but I feel more is needed in the rest of the chapter by way of
scene setting, for example, identifying the situation (problem?) addressed by the solution which is the GRID.

Chapter 3 (background technologies) is good, but should stop at section 3.1.3. Maybe the example, at some higher level
of abstraction, is the sort of material that I was expecting in the area of chapter 2.

After this (ie chapter 4) it seems to me to move to a level of detail which is too much of a jump.

I feel I ought to grasp the concepts, even though I am not one of the grid cognescenti. Is this one of the aims of the
document? .
