Data Distribution not in scope of DAIS any more. The factorisation that was provided by the OGSA Data Services document is only being used as a
guiding principle. Data movement/distribution is something that is being considered by the OGSA Data Architecture Working Group.

Data Distribution has formed its own working group outside of DAIS. The Data Distribution (now Data Dissemination) people looked as to whether they
could fit within the factoring of portTypes as described in the OGSA Data Services document and found they would have to have their own portType. Data
distribution now operates in a separate working group (see the data dissemination working group).
The follow-up posted by Simon is a much more general issue and still needs to be considered but possibly as a new tracker in one of the sub-headings.

As part of this we need to consider how data distribution fits into the OGSI/Data Services modes of operation, i.e. should data distribution be
creating local ids or should subscriptions etc be represented as services.
