ad 2:
Security Discussion
Overview of security infrastructures
- gLite: X.509 certificates
  + standard webservice security
+ user can user his own certificate, gets a delegation id
+ not using SOAP header at the moment
+ communication between server and client is always encrypted

  # summarized: X.509 + delegation of credentials

- NorduGrid/ARC:
  + 5.509 certificates + delegation of credentials
  + additioinal port type
+ every job can get own credetials
+ not a problem to transfer delegated credentials
+ user calls service to initiate delegation and gets id

  # summarized: X.509 certificates + delegation of credentials
(in principle the same way as gLite)

- NAREGI:
  + document was sent

- UVa/GENESIS-II
+ many different ways of authorization
  + SSL/TLS
  + two types of identities
      ° resource id: X.509
      ° pricipal id: X.509
  + exissting identity spaces
+ sec. token service (sort of myProxy)
(I have credentials, give me back others; signed by priv. key)
  + access control list

  # summarized: many differences to gLite, NorduGrid/ARC, ...

Discussion about using WS-trust:
not suitable for ARC, WS-trust was reviewed by ARC

Presentation by Etienne Urbah of their approach:
The presentation is available in Documents - Meeting Materials - EDGeS-for-PGI-Security-Bridging-EGEE-to-BOINC-and-
XtremWeb

How difficult is it to adapt current EDGeS interface to interact with gLite to submit jobs?
Interested in what is going on in the BES and JSDL standard.
It is still a problem to simulate a BES compliant in BOINC.
