The "methodology" part might be strengthened
Overall this is a very useful document and I can immediately see how it already has influenced the work of NM-WG and its
 hierarchy document mutually.

However, this document aims at presenting a "methodology for defining ... units of information..."
Specifically, it presents the "top N" events that the DAMED group has agreed upon.

What I am missing is a clear (explicit) description of the methodology behind the top N events. Constructively, this
methodology should tell the reader how to define other events in a consistent way.

I give you my example through which I came to comment on this document:
I wanted to look up how to express, for a set of batch schedulers, both the queue length and the average job waiting
time.
Queue length seems to be "top N", the waiting time is not.

I would appreciate if the authors could add a short section how to define more event types in a consistent manner. Then,
I would assume this document to be "round" and ready for publication.

Thilo Kielmann, member NM-WG, and just trying to use the results of the DAMED group ;-)
