Artifact artf3345 : (461) Nits from Tokyo Inst. of Tech
Tracker: OGSI Post V1.x
Title: (461) Nits from Tokyo Inst. of Tech
Description:
Hi all,

I have several questions regarding the ogsi spec.

1. In p.31, the document says "MAY NOT". Section 2 says such capital
keywords should be interpreted as defined in RFC 2119. But, the RFC does
not include "MAY NOT". How should it be interpreted?

The following is quoted from the p.31:

A binding-specific implementation of a Grid Service Reference MAY include an expiration time,
which is a declaration to clients holding that GSR that the GSR SHOULD be valid prior to that
time, and it MAY NOT be valid after the expiration time.

2. The following is the quotation from Section 9.2.2.2, p. 46:

There is no guarantee that the update is executed in any particular sequence.

I think this "update" should be "deletion" because this sentence refers
to the deleteByServiceDataNames.

3. In p.27, there is a sample use of "goodFrom", "goodUntil", and
"availableUntil". The value of "goodFrom" is:

goodFrom="2002-04-27T10:20:00.000-06:00"
goodUntil="2002-04-27T11:20:00.000-06:00"

I think the right-most string "-06:00" denotes the time difference from
the UTC. Is that right? However, at the bottom of the page, the document
says:

These attributes declare to a consumer of this SDE the expected lifetime for the element's
value, which in this example is from 10:20 am until 11:20 am EST on 27 April 2002.

The time difference of EST is "-05:00", isn't it? Is this sentence inconsistent
with those attributes? And also, at the first paragraph in the next page
(p.28), the timezone string "EDT" appears. Is this correct?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
