Dear GGF Editor,

We are very pleased to re-submit the revised revision of our OGSA usecase document version 1.0. All of public review comments are deliberated by the
OGSA-WG and reflected them into this revision.

Thanks,

Per email from Hiro Kishimoto, this is moved back into active status to await edits (coming soon). Barring problems, I expect we can honor the
request to replace GFD.029 with the revised final document. The email:

> > I am writing the email to tell you a problem of our OGSA tier 1 document.
> > This document finished its public comment review July 8th and OGSA-WG
> > and our ADs measured all comments were minor ones. Thus GFSG approved

AD Review:

1) The collection of use cases are relevant and address issues that are realistic to the application target.

2) The use cases are presented in a uniform format. The format includes a summary, an overview of the service customers, a collection of scenarios
within each application area, Resources involved in implementing these scenarios, the functional requirements placed by the use case on the
application, a summary of the actual OGSA service that the use case author might expect the architecture to provide, and finally security and
performance considerations associated with the use case.

3) The format reliably provides the designers with topic areas to drive the initial development as well as provide validation in later stages of
design.

4) The areas covered by the use cases cover a very wide range of application, from online gaming to storm modeling.

5) The use cases also target several levels within the architecture, e.g. from end user to services used internally within the system.

6) Additional references are provided for each use case.

7) Most of the use cases are written at a uniform level of detail. Some however, in particular the Service-Based Distributed Query Processing, provide
much more detail. This detail is often valuable.

8) It is apparent from the references that many of the contributions to this document have come from other WGs and RGs within the GGF. This breadth of
 community involvement is encouraging.

9) The general breath of areas covered reflects the current trend to include both scientific and industrial/business grid applications.

10) Sections 11.3 and 11.10 are listed as "To be supplied." I don't think this should hold up public comment, but when the second tier use cases are
added, this should be updated.
