As far as we can tell, you have not yet posted minutes for GGF9 to the UR mailing list or on the web. This needs to be done THIS WEEK. You are
very far behind on this and there are legal issues if it doesn't happen right away.

Jenny & Bill -

I have asked Jian to submit notes for GGF9. Unfortunately as I was speaking
most of the time, I was not in a position to take many notes. Once I return
from Supercomputing, I'll look at the brief notes that I do have from the
session if he has still not submitted notes. Please note, that what I have
will not do justice to the meeting.

Advice?

two things
1) Please re-work these according to months, not quarters of the year, and please think about the dates a little more - for example, everything you
have listed as 3Q04 we're not sure should be later than about april or may? We need these back by the end of the week

2) It would have been extremely helpful if someone had been on the call. We have not received a summary either. Yet again we ask if you have the time
to lead this group (rebekah gets a bye on this since she's told us she has a conflict).

Bill and Jenny,

Here are the updated milestones.

We have 3 documents to conduct through the document process.

1) The Usage Record Survey -- an exploration of what accounting fields were being tracked in contemporary accounting systems to use as a baseline for
the fields that would need to be included in the specification.

2) The Natural Language Document (Requirements) -- an english language description of the characteristics and basic components of the Usage Record

3) The XML Format -- specifies the Usage Record Format in XML.

It was requested that our milestones reflect the passage of our relevant documents through the various stages of the GGF document process.

Milestone 1) Submit the document to the GGF editor
	Survey Document Done
	Natural Language Done
	XML Format Done

Milestone 2) Resubmit document to the GGF editor after addressing editor comments
	Survey Document 1Q04
	Natural Language 1Q04
	XML Format N/A

Milestone 3) Resubmit document to the GGF editor after addressing public comments
	Survey Document 3Q04
	Natural Language 3Q04
	XML Format 3Q04

Hi,

We are going over all the updated milestones of the SRM area,
and would like to have all the milestones be more uniform
(in style across the area) and able to easily measure forward
progress.

The following are good examples from other groups:
"Submit document to GGF Editor", or
"Final call for document X on WG mailing list", or
"Resubmit document to GGF Editor after addressing Public Comments"
Adding interim progress points like "write up use case for X", or
"outline of document Y", etc., are also helpful.

So, for each document in the UR-WG, there should at least be milestones
for all submissions to the GGF Editor (initial submission, any updates,
at least one update as a result of the public comment period, and,
for Recommendations Track Documents, a GWD-E describing experiences
demonstrating 2 interoperable implemenations (which must be at least
6 months after the GWD-R is published).

If you take the advice of the GGF Editor and include the "Usage Record
Survey Results" as an appendix of the Natural Language doc, the UR-WG
has two documents:
Accounting Interchange Natural Language Description (Requirements)
  Usage Record -- XML Format

If you could revise these in the next week or so, that would be
great.

Thanks again,
