"Resource" and "Service"
This is potentially too complicated a topic to resolve here. It isn't clear what distinction, if any, is intended
between a "resource" and a "service". Both are entities (obviously); a resource supports use or operation of a
computing application or environment, while a service provides functionality in response to a client request and may
participate in realising one or more capabilities.

I guess that if there are entities that provide functionality in some other way than as a response to client requests,
they may be resources that aren't services. Is it the case that every service is also a resource? Does this matter for
 the architecture?
Re: "Resource" and "Service"
Dave, thanks for your comment. We discussed these observations at length in the November 19th, 2007 OGSA telecon, and
made some changes to the definitions of both Resource (added a reference to service) and Service (reduced the example).
I'll be uploading an updated version of the document within the next few days, and we plan a final review on Monday
December 3rd.

Best regards,

- Jem
