JSIM Specification
The Common Information Model (CIM) is an industry wide accepted standard to describe computing entities. Its strength is
the flexibility in describing relations between the different entities and the possibility to abstract implementation
specifics from the common model. In consequence one management application can uniquely work with different underlying
technologies. This GGF work group has done a great job in enabling the CIM schema for Job Submission and Monitoring as
done in Grids. Many thanks go to the authors and the work group for their excellent work.

By describing the Job Submission Model and the thoughts of the authors, the JSIM document is the implementation
specification for developers. Based on this specification, NCSA already offers a first reference implementation of the
Job Submission Information Model. The reference implementation is available from the SBLIM project ( http://oss.software
.ibm.com/developerworks/projects/sblim/ ).

I recommend approving the Job Submission Information Model as a GGF informational document.
