The objective of this working group is to work on the profile and specifications needed to realize the vertical use case of batch job scheduling of scientific/technical applications. This use case is often referred to as the "core" high performance computing (HPC) use case.

"HPC Profile WG", not "OGSA HPC Profile WG" - OGSA-HPCP-WG
The WG effort is now properly identified as being the "HPC Profile WG" instead of the "OGSA HPC Profile WG" (while we were created as a WG within the scope of OGSA, we ceased being OGSA at OGF 19 in Chapel Hill -- we don't want the logistical issues of creating a new sourceforge group and mailing list, so we are continuing to use the existing "OGSA-HPCP-WG" web pages and mailing list).
